Right now I’m exploring Central California.
Every day I discover something new.
And I still celebrate my typical austrian habit: comparing things here to the ‘things back home’. But I don’t judge. I’m not able to do it.
Some ‘things’ I want to share with you:
AUT: 2 brands of soymilk available in a supermarket.
USA: at wholefoods at least 20 brands of soymilk, ricemilk, almondmilk, hempmilk, oatmilk, speltmilk...
AUT: a bunch of 10-15 readymade cerial-mixes.
USA: you can mix an neverending amount of your favorite mixes.
AUT: simple signs advising you not entering a specic area.
USA: you're told at least 2x on one sign, that you should do or not do a specifc something.
AUT: we have small cabines on the countryside too...
USA: but here they look like in 'the silence of the lambs'. Mr. Lecter is waiting...
AUT: there are some really nice places, but for sure you don't know em from movies.
USA: you think to know nearly every corner of cities or suburbs from a movie.
